Feng Shui and the Housing Market
Feng Shui and the Housing Market
The Las Vegas Valley is experiencing such turmoil in terms of housing and there is massive internal migration. Investors and move-up homeowners are losing their homes and moving into their rentals. Renters are getting displaced because their landlords are going into foreclosure. People are short-selling homes as an alternative to foreclosure and others are just surrendering, leaving the keys on the counter and walking out.
Resolution can be found with Feng Shui. Feng Shui is about living in alignment with our natural environment. Consultants assist people in creating joyful environments and harmonizing with their homes and businesses to improve quality of life and accomplish goals. When we are in agreement with what we truly want, there is an environmental law much like gravity that goes to work for us drawing the essence of our desire to us.
The mission critical question for homeowners at risk of losing their home is: Do you want to stay in your home? It is important to take a moment and ask yourself a few questions: Do I love my home? Do I love living here? Do I want to come home every day? Am I grateful for living here?
If the goal is to stay, then start giving your home attention. Our homes are our oasis. They are sacred and where we should feel like we can rest and renew ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually. Simple things that freshen up your home will have dramatic impact. As one example, a client recently changed out her burned out light bulbs and within days received an unsolicited offer from her bank in the mail to modify her loan.
Other people I have worked with have not whole-heartedly applied my recommendations and they have not attained their desired outcome. Truly, people can say they want something and feel differently. It is the feeling that is the truth, not the words. It is our feelings that attract. So, it is paramount that we dig deep and have integrity within ourselves to be honest.
Sometimes, the path of least resistance for a resolution looks a lot different than expected. I've had clients who tell me they want to be debt free and they are emotionally ready to be financially free. If they, with intention of mind, make the Feng Shui adjustments recommended they could either win the lottery or end up filing bankruptcy. So, keep in mind that whatever you are experiencing is what you choose to experience and there is always an opportunity to make a course correction. Feng Shui is just one of the ways you can do that.
Here’s my quick prescription for making a change and inviting new energy into your life:
Within the next three days…
1. Move three things in your home (furniture, art, plants)
2. Get rid of three things (throw out broken, chipped, old items
3. Give three things (donate blood, random gifts or acts)
Appreciate the joy this exercise brings you and feel how living in alignment with the natural flow of energy improves your quality of life.
