Palms Offering 24-Hour Check-Out

It seems as though the hotels in Las Vegas have been looking to add fees wherever they can, butPalms has decided to make a left turn and offer an amenity for hotel guests at no extra charge shortly after increasing their resort fee.
Now, when you stay at Palms, you’re given a 24-hour checkout cycle.
For example, if you check in Friday night at 8 p.m., you won’t have to check out until 8 p.m. on the day you leave.
Palms is the first hotel to offer a 24-hour checkout cycle, but it's not available to all guests.
Here's how it works:
First, you have to book your room on the Palms website. If you book through online travel agencies, travel agents, third-party tour operators or by phone, you are not eligible for the 24 hour checkout. When booking a room you’ll note your anticipated check-in time on the website (standard check-in time is 3 p.m.). This will serve as your checkout time as well. Upon arrival, you’ll provide Palms with a mobile phone number so they can send a reminder text about the scheduled departure time the day you leave. You can do this without the text if you have a good memory. It should also be pointed out that you must also book a Superior or Premier room, or Ivory Suite, as part of the offer.
If you have a late flight home but want to keep your room so you can freshen up, use WiFi or just take a nap, you’ll typically have to pay a “half day” room rate at most hotels. There have been many NFL Sundays when this writer lived on the east coast and needed that half day for all of the aforementioned reasons. Depending on the hotel this could cost $50-$75. At the Palms, it now comes with no added fee.
