More Tenants Revealed for The Shops at Summerlin

If you've been following Racked Vegas' inside guides to the retail extravaganzathat will be The Shops at Summerlin, we have a new update, a couple of confirmed locations and a couple of rumors crushed.
The landlords of the 1.6 million square feet of retail space are carefully and slowly naming names ahead of their late 2014 unveiling, but Eater Vegas can confirm that Perfumania, the country's largest discount fragrance, cosmetics and skin care retailer is coming to the indoor/outdoor mall. This will be their seventh local location.
Gearing up to open a large store will be Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse. They have been a very patient tenant, who originally signed up for space in 2007 when this mega-mall first began construction, before the economy forced all work to be mothballed the following year.
Added to our pictorial map above, is confirmation that Nordstom Rack will occupy a home close to Dillards, in a section classified as the Burgundy District on working plans. There will be three other mini-anchors in their area of the center, with easy access from Sahara Avenue.
And as we first revealed, Sports Authority is another mini-anchor joining the shopping scene. Their 35,047-sqaure-foot store will be on the opposite side of the huge parking lot across from Nordstoms.
Sadly, to quash a couple of rumors, both Crate & Barrel and IKEA recently told their Facebook audience they have no plans to be the one remaining major anchor of this project. But as we lose two rumors, one can be added to mix. Internet tattle hints that the Dave & Busters restaurant, bar and arcade chain might be thinking of coming to Summerlin, bringing casual American fare and lots of games from old school favorites like skeeball to the latest digital machines. Their main industry rival Gameworks is readying for a debut atTown Square later this year.
